This will be our last public call before we bring things into the Container. Someone asked me why I had called it the "Container", it probably sounds like an odd name, but for me I have been calling our group space that for some time - I see it as a huge Tibetan singing bowl. Like a singing bowl it is sacred, and it reverberates and amplifies vibration. For those of you who have been meeting with me every Friday you know what I mean, it is growing in power and amplitude. To me, our Container is an anchoring point for all of us to be strengthened and nurtured so we can go out into the world and do our work, whatever that is for you.
I also had a strange epiphany yesterday that I share as it will be the topic for this meditation today. I have led a nomadic life, an expatriate by birth, I come from a long line of expats, my father left home when he was 18 to travel from Scotland to Hong Kong, his mother grew up in India a daughter to a diplomat, this grandfather was a missionary in Africa. My mother left China at 13 as a refugee. All I have known in my energy is change and geographic displacement. I grew up all over the world and continue to move frequently. Perhaps this is why I am so comfortable in the internet and the ether! You can be everywhere and nowhere at the speed of light!
But anchoring is important, and grounding is important. Knowing where you resonate, and drawing strength and stability from a place physically and geographically is very nurturing - knowing where your North is. Even if you cannot physically be there, you can strengthen your energetic ties with it, and in so doing you anchor yourself in the present moment, and in your present geography, as ironic as that may sound.
We'll be playing with this later today during our meditation, hope you can join us!
